Diagnosis:

Disc Protrusions

Muscular strain - grade 1, right paraspinal muscles

Duplicated IVC


Commentary:

When assessing for a cause of back pain, remember to also look at the paraspinal musculature for strain, oedema, collections, atrophy

Check the retroperitoneum for pathology - in this case, an incidentally detected duplicated IVC
