Proximal intersection Syndrome

Patient data: 42-year-old Male


Presentation:

Repetitive manual handling job, distal arm pain


Commentary: Thickening of the affected tendons (first extensor compartment (abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis) and second extensor compartment (extensor carpi radialis longus and extensor carpi radialis brevis)

Increased echogenicity around the intersection point indicates inflammation or fluid.

Presence of fluid or synovial sheath distension.
